First exam is over, hope it went well. I've decided though that whatever the result, I'm not going to retake. To be honest i have a huge problem with the way Geography was organised. We had a new syllabus this year, which made it impossible to revise as we had no practise papers. The main difference from the previous course is the lack of coursework. Now in general from the people I've talked to most people hate coursework. I love coursework being able to get in most cases 25% of your final result under no real pressure with the help of you teacher is fucking awesome. Historically I've always done less than my best in exams, i get nervous, i don't read questions properly and i forget to check my answers. Its nice to have something i know i did well in.
Moving on to the next exam D1 mathematics. I blogged about it before and my opinions on it are well known essentially its like doing arithmetic i can do it its just a calculator is so much faster so why bother.
That reminds me, funny thing my dad did. He managed to get calculators replaced with the abacus. Its fucking ridiculous, i mean whats the point all you've done is taken away ten minutes of the lesson whilst everyone trys to use their's and everyone comes out with different answers. I saw a documentary once and it showed some students in Japan/China who actually went to abacus classes and there was one kid that was so into it that he didn't use the abacus anymore all you saw was his fingers twitching as he moved it in his mind.
Well that's all folks I'm gonna leave this blog the way i started it
LEEEERRRROOOYYYY JEEEENNNNKINNNS
and if you don't know what that is then screw you
